Madison’s FIRST love.

That is so dramatic. I know. However-I have a unique perspective as her mother, where I get to see the beautiful details. I feel confident that this cute, little, redhead youth will have a lasting impact on all of us.  SO-I intend to chronicle the special time in Madison’s life.  Yet another blessing that has come about because these sad circumstances… God uses ALL things for good. He does. For those who love Him. I’m proof.  We were in NC for Dan’s funeral.  The following Sunday we went to Antioch (our first church as a family). A young man, not even 16 years old, notices gorgeous Madison. (It’s a freaking miracle that boys have not been obsessed with her up to this point) Boy-asks her for her number. She eagerly gives. And that was it.  Seriously.  So this young man happens to be the son of our first Pastor. When we started attending his church, madison and he were probably not even three years old. I vividly remember him climbing all over things in...

Daniel

Matt’s Brother, Daniel, was killed in a motorcycle accident last Wednesday.  As horribly tragic as this is-at only 40 years old, to lose your life-it is also magnificent. He knew the Lord! How much more could one wish for for someone they love so dearly. Clearly, Nothing. Else. Matters. Accountability partners, determinations, resolutions, etc.  I’m sure that is just a tiny glimpse of what God is up to.  I hate the pain the family is walking through-but I’m grateful all eyes are On Jesus in spite of how tortured the mourning souls are. That is where our comfort lay. Our only real comfort comes from Him. So many are aware and embrace it. That. Is. A. Blessing. To me. T...

Peaceful

Grateful.  Jesus Kees is in perfect peace-those whose eyes are fixed. I know what amazing blessings God has provided me. Life was hard. Life is hard. It just is. Jesus is the only comfort. I’m grateful to be able to know beyond a shadow of a doubt that most of our family Knows the Lord.  Barb, My mom, Phil, Madison, Drew, MORIAH, Carter, Alexis, Melissa, sweet cousin Angela, Daniel. As I look back at years passed-I remember thinking, “How can I tell them”. Fast forward many years. They all know.

Kids and friends

Don’t ask. Taking a bunch of boys to hobby lobby is always at your own risk.
