Snapshot

Snapshot borrowed from Holymama. Reading: Yeah right, like I have time. I will catch up in a few years. Music in my head: Backyardigan's theme song. It's not so bad really. Drinking: Nothing, but I am kind of thirsty. Wishing: I felt well enough to get anything constuctive accomplished around here. Considering: Purchasing privacy curtains, we have been exposed for way too long. Feeling: Bloaty and full of baby. Goals: Utilize my nesting instincts to get stuff done. (I cleaned under the kitchen sink yesterday, come on it's working) To Do List: Incorporate flylady's system over here. Hours gloriously spent in bathtub tonight: You can do that? Things Accomplished: Nothing that anyone but me would ever notice, hence the organized cleaning supplies.
I was holding Madison close this morning and just trying to obsorb her still-baby scent. I closed my eyes and thought, I love this life. I am so fortunate to be here with her right now. I could be stuck behind a desk somewhere while someone else is looking after her. Even when she is fussy for hours and I am frustrated, I am still thankful to be able to scoop her up whenever I want. I thought to myself, "we have almost been together for 2 years now..." What a connection to share with her. Oh how I love this little thing. She has brought such light and sweetness to our lives. I am thankful to be able to sit back and enjoy it. Madison is walking all over now, getting more steady every day. It's fun to watch her develop. I saw little Matthew yesterday, as you can see too by my posted pictures. It was an amazing thing to have a glimpse inside to see him. It was awesome...the only ultrasound Matt has missed of course is the most revealing one so far. I have to have another one...

Does he look like Madison?

Our baby Matthew at 33wks, 4 days.

a year has passed...

One year has passed since... That day, we waited for finally came and we met our beautiful daughter for the first time. Since that day, we have marveled in her cuteness, soaked up her smiles, tickled her belly, made her laugh, enjoyed her presence, comforted her, held her close, nuzzled her neck, tired to coerce kisses from her, been amazed by her, our hearts have been melted by her, been dazzled by her beauty, astonished by her bravery and just consumed by her. We love her, so much. Madison is in love with two people most of all, Moriah and her daddy. We have tried to teach her Moriah is Mo-Mo, but she calls everyone ma ma. Even daddy. If Moriah goes anywhere in the house, Madison is right behind her. BUT, when her daddy comes home, it is all him. She clings to him will have no other. She loves him. She has the same routine with him every day when he comes home. If she was sleeping, she wakes up. Reaches for him, smiles sweetly when she is where she wants to be-held tight. She takes o...

Her own special cake.
She climbed on this one, proclaiming it a favorite.
Everyone helped Madison open her presents. I think she had it down after opening a zillion Christmas presents!

How perfect is that? Too cute to eat, almost. It was delicious.
