Respite Care

Finally!  We started respite care for foster care.  We had two little ones yesterday dropped off.  They were 6 and 4 and it was cool to see how the first two just tried to welcome them in and love on them.  Drew bonded so much he was devastated a few hours later when they had to leave.  It was a whirlwind day for us.  They were supposed to be with us for a few days while their foster family was getting over illness.  Then a few hours later, they were sent home to their father.  It was an interesting thing to witness.  I was honored to have even a few hours to care for their little lives.  We talked about Jesus and prayed for their bio mother whom they missed terribly.  It was heart wrenching to see and hear what they were feeling as they rode this roller coaster they were thrown onto.  Thankful we were allowed in to offer some comfort a very short while.  God bless those children.  We will not forget them.
