Updates

so much has happened since my last post. I’ll list everything very briefly, but I want to cover what’s happening today first. Madison left for Hawaii to be part of YWAM DTS in Kona. She arrived safely and has finished her first day there we can’t wait to see what God does. We’re very impressed and proud that she was willing to leave it all behind to go and pursue the Lord. She and Noah are entangled in very godly love and she was willing to leave that For Jesus.

Drew is serving the Lord by encouraging his friends and being a light to them leading worship for Youth school events wherever he can and effort to give it off to Jesus. We pray his willingness to say Jesus yes I will do. It will be meaningful and encourage the next generation to chase Jesus themselves. I’m very grateful to the influences that came before Drew that peaked his interest in music and lead him to Ever picking up a ukulele and then guitar, and on and on.

Today, Moriah is in Asheville with her amazing husband Ben, as they are helping the search efforts for lost people and victims of hurricane Helene that hit a few days ago. There has been total devastation and destruction by this hurricane to some of these towns we know in love many people are still missing and it is such a tragic horrific story. I am grateful they are also willing to leave behind all comfort go to help the hurting broken and lost.

My children are amazing in the Lord Jesus they love him so much and they live it. So incredibly grateful and proud of them.

Tragically over the weekend, the kids lost another friend and schoolmate to a senseless act of violence by very demonic person. It’s a terrible horrific story. Everyone in the community is reeling from it. We are praying fervently for his family, and all those impacted by this loss that we do celebrate we know he is with Jesus, we pray this loss will allow God to minister to broken hearts, and thus reveal himself to those who don’t know  him.

I am grateful for the sweet friends. I can talk to you about these things. We can share our hertz and our concerns and prayers during all of these crises as well as for each other’s children. God Created some really beautiful bonds.

Prior to all of these things happening, which today is October third we moved into our new house in Forest. We happen to see this house online and it was way out of our price range and we weren’t sure we even wanted to sell the house we were in but we came to see it anyway, Matt said along the way why bother… God had plans. We saw the house, saw the potential, realized the space was exactly what we had been praying for for what we know God might have in store for us in the future so we took a chance we shot our shot and they accepted our offer for much lower than they were asking , we immediately listed our house and it sold within seven days for Cash what we were asking. So these things are nothing short of tiny miracles that God very clearly orchestrated as he continued this process so smoothly without any hiccups at all, it was an arduous process of packing cleaning  unpacking settling renovating etc. Currently, there are tractors and backhoes in our backyard, digging it all up to put a pool, which was the hoped vision we had for the next home we had. Over a year ago God showed me some things that required us to step outside of our comfort zone, make hard decisions and showed me where he was sending us. I was so confused when it wasn’t happening quickly we took over a year before these things began to unfold but here we are and they have. We are in place now poised and ready for the next assignment.

I know when I read back over this I will be astounded over and over again at all God does and what is even to come next we don’t know, of course, but we do know he’s been preparing us for it for quite some time. I’m proud and grateful for my family to be following Jesus so closely they can hear his whispers in the night, they respond in loving obedience and then I watch God move. May their lives reflect the glory of God by loving those around them with such a pure unadulterated love that is the world around them. I am grateful God is so good. He has been so good to me to stay near , and soothe my heart.

Let Him dwell within me, ALL of my days. He is my and the only source of real JOY! The world is a liar. Only YOU can decide who you want to be, your identity is either in the world or in Jesus. If it's in Jesus then you are perfect because He is perfect. He atoned for all of our real imperfections. If sin leads to death, why do we chase it? Why do we chase the grave instead of His grace? Me too, it's a daily surrender of my desire for the world. Daily, hourly, minutely. The pull is intense and the struggle is real. Literally. No matter what happens to me, you know your mother's heart chases after Jesus Christ Himself. It is not the path of least resistance. On the contrary. I live my life for Him and through Him because I have already experienced the contrary. It was a state of darkness and death. Absence of light and of love. Of course I want to spare you the suffering of that course but sometimes we must walk through that mire to appreciate Him as he washes it off of us s...
