Healing

I just want to make sure I never forget this you know I record all of the important things that happened to me as I remember to do it. I have never experienced the feeling of so much love pouring in and pouring out as I did last night. I looked around the room and there were so many people I love so dearly and the ones I didn’t know I felt led to reach out to. I love my church. God’s presence is so heavy in that place. We all have the same reports we all canCan hear from him the same way. Many times on a Monday during our office meetings we would all share what God did that Sunday and how he sensed his presence in our stories always matched absolutely perfectly. I have no doubt that there is a God he is my God Jesus is the way the only way.

So yesterday Service in tailed the anointing with oil in the laying on of hands by our elders as they prayed over our sicknesses. Why was I so hesitant to go why was I so hesitant to raise my hands I have read the scripture for myself where God says that they got on their knees and raise their hands in worship. I know how important confession is and handing off our troubles to the Lord. I know that he’s a God who answers prayers and hears every cry every moment every need and every joy. I have seen his over and over in my own life there is not one singleThing I have ever ask of God that he has not given me an answer ever. Ever. If you were on standby, we know that but I have every faith and confidence that he will answer them. I’m not saying he will always give us the answers that we in our flash in our weaknesses desire I am so thankful he doesn’t there are many things I prayed for that looking back would’ve been catastrophic in my life and stunted my spiritual connect with God. I am thankful that he knows best. So one of my friends dearest ones asked me to go up with her so I knew I had to go up anyway and God if you really convicted me when I was praying on my own needs in my own bedroom that he wanted me to go For myself toO. So I knew I had to I had to do it for her. She has that child like faith I learned from her last night. So we stood in line and hugged each other so many people needing God being convicted and going up even though everyone can see. I just wanted to come for everyone so much I wanted to wait right there beside that hot out to greet every person who accident with a hug I was compelled to do that.

It was my turn and I went out and I saw his circle of men elders who I respect and admire. Many of whom I’ve gotten to know very well in love so so dearly like they’re my own fathers were brothers. I cannot express how much I adore these men and how much they have helped me grow in the Lord and value my role the guy called me too. I cannot express how much I adore these men and how much they have helped me grow in the Lord and value my role the guy called me too. So that’s the backstory they all know me I know my life they know my woes but I still had to confess it I had to say it out loud it was very hard. There are so many many of us in our congregation small church as it is who suffer with chronic pain of some sort lupus or Lyme disease or Fibromyalgia myofascial syndrome arthritis broken bones cancer so Jorn syndrome just so many of us and we know all know each other‘s pain. I hope that confessing my own for people who did not know me encouraged others who are out there I know of several who suffer with the same thing I do and they didn’t come forward but I hope and encourage them anyway that they weren’t alone in their daily trials.

So I stood there and they all put their hands on my shoulders in the pastor put well on my four head and they prayed so earnestly over me and my petty God’s presence was over powering it was the most peaceful comfortable experience I’ve ever had I knew we were standing in the midst of the ward and he was in the midst of us and he was honoring their obedience and doing what he says to do. I was very very proud of one of my very closest dearest beloved friends for going up there too in front of her own whole church sharing her illness and what she suffers with that was an ultimate act of humility for her she’s been the strong one for everyone else and not let anyone see those weaknesses. I’m proud of her for doing what God called her to do in spite of herself. And I pray healing for her every day. And so they prayed over me the same way and I was blessed.

I went and sat back down in the back with my friend and just reveled in the beautiful ceremony of prayer. And I wondered to myself as a teenager I brought and the middle school or‘s who normally I spend Wednesdays with would be bored out of their minds or making fun of the services or just regretting that I made them suffer through such an adult experience so I thought. At that exact moment I looked up and there was the little girl standing there and another little girl who is by her side supporting her I thought she was there for herself and she surprised me she was only there to hold The other one up. I was compelled to go and put my arms around her and I did without a thought to being seen or feeling awkward. My own thoughts of pride hammered my brain but I continually handed it back to the ward so that I could be there for the right reasons and she went in she asked of God they prayed she cried she came out I was able to hug her so tight and tell her she wasn’t alone. I feel a tap on my shoulder I turn around and there’s another one middle school. Trusting God. Child like faith. I held her to she asked me to go in with her this little wisp of a girl and so I did I held her hand they prayed over her and walking out she crumbled in my arms and I was honored to be the one to catch her.

How do used so many things yesterday in my life to confirm I was in the right place that I was in the right ministry that I was doing the right thing that I was well loved that I was there to love others that I had something to offer the comfort of the Lord and how many sweet friends God has given me all of these things I am so thankful for. There really isn’t an adequate way to describe how much my heart overflowed and how sorry I was that my husband missed all of it. But I caught a few pictures off of someone else’s post on Facebook that I am sharing here so that I never forget

Let Him dwell within me, ALL of my days. He is my and the only source of real JOY! The world is a liar. Only YOU can decide who you want to be, your identity is either in the world or in Jesus. If it's in Jesus then you are perfect because He is perfect. He atoned for all of our real imperfections. If sin leads to death, why do we chase it? Why do we chase the grave instead of His grace? Me too, it's a daily surrender of my desire for the world. Daily, hourly, minutely. The pull is intense and the struggle is real. Literally. No matter what happens to me, you know your mother's heart chases after Jesus Christ Himself. It is not the path of least resistance. On the contrary. I live my life for Him and through Him because I have already experienced the contrary. It was a state of darkness and death. Absence of light and of love. Of course I want to spare you the suffering of that course but sometimes we must walk through that mire to appreciate Him as he washes it off of us s...
