Surprise! This one's about children.

I am writing these things in attempt to somehow preserve the moments that melt my heart. I will be devastated the day blogger announces that it is shutting down. Like, yahoo photos! The place that I entrusted to hold my precious wedding pictures, is now no more. That is what happens when you trust the internet. Don't do that.

I just want to keep track of the adorable things Madison says and does. This morning, she went under my bathroom cabinet where I keep my hair curlers and took out a hair dryer-curler thingy that I have no idea what the actual name of it is. She carried it all around the house, pretending to curl her hair. I was washing up some dishes and I peaked around the corner to see her sneak a kiss to Drew, who was in his walker and then she began to "do" his hair.

When Madison wakes up in the morning she has several different calls to get my attention. This morning it was "Mom-eeeeeee, Mom-eeeee". As I try to get her to call me Mommy instead of saying momma. The other morning she called, "dadddyyyyyy, mommaaaa, doooo (Drew), eeeeaaaaaaaatttttt". Of course I rushed to her, the thought of her hungry breaks my heart.

I asked her what she wanted for breakfast this morning and she declared, "BANNINI, bannniiiiniiiii..." So, knowing my little one oh so well, I got her a bananna. The she pointed to the top of the fridge and said, "Beeeaaa, beeaaa..." it took me a minute to see she wanted bread. I got the bread down and she had a smile on her face and raised her hands to the bread. She loves empty ice cream cones (I am sure she would love them full of ice cream too) so I gave her one the other day. When she was done she wanted another. She said, "morrreee" for the first time then.

Let Him dwell within me, ALL of my days. He is my and the only source of real JOY! The world is a liar. Only YOU can decide who you want to be, your identity is either in the world or in Jesus. If it's in Jesus then you are perfect because He is perfect. He atoned for all of our real imperfections. If sin leads to death, why do we chase it? Why do we chase the grave instead of His grace? Me too, it's a daily surrender of my desire for the world. Daily, hourly, minutely. The pull is intense and the struggle is real. Literally. No matter what happens to me, you know your mother's heart chases after Jesus Christ Himself. It is not the path of least resistance. On the contrary. I live my life for Him and through Him because I have already experienced the contrary. It was a state of darkness and death. Absence of light and of love. Of course I want to spare you the suffering of that course but sometimes we must walk through that mire to appreciate Him as he washes it off of us s...
