Do you want to know how many diapers I can change in a day? A lot. A lot of diapers. How does that much stink come out of the most angelic looking babies? I will never understand this. They are wayyy too cute to stink so bad. It's crazy.

I haven't posted in a while, but I really do have good reason. Like, two babies to care for and usually one other (not counting Moriah, although she should count as three just herself). I have Jayden with me now. WHAT a little tornado. I thought Madison was messy, but this child leaves trails of toys and blankets behind her everywhere! Even the garage has her tell tail brand, babydolls and blankets... Madison is really enjoying her presence though, I can tell. She follows after her and plays just as hard right behind her wherever she goes. I am sure Jayden could use a break from a one year old threatening to beat her up for a toy, every 10 seconds. It's all fun though. At least, I thought it was fun. Jayden has a different definition for fun...last night when her daddy came home from work she said, "daddyyyyyy, whennnn are we going to do something funnnnnnnnnnn??" Of course this was after she had spent the whole day with me. Thanks kiddo. I know I am not like the most fun lady in town, and I do have two babies to take care of all the time, but cut me some slack. Geesh.

Anyway, At least Matt and I got to do something fun...ha We were able to go to Miami beach for Memorial Day weekend. It was fun, not having any children to wake me up in the middle of the night...and to be able to sleep in till whenever. The best part was being able to focus solely on this guy I married. I have been so splintered, life just gets away from you when you have this many kids. Everyone needs you, and it is really easy to forget that it was once just the two of you. We love our babies, and love being parents...but it was really nice to just be a couple for a while. We could hold hands when we walked, there was no stroller or bags to carry. Oh, but we SO, totally missed the kids...we really just wanted to be home. It was tough, feeling a little guilty for enjoying the solitude so much and missing them. But, the water was amazing, not that we went in it...but it looked pretty. It was mint green, really. I have never seen anything like it. It was beautiful. BUT, and there is ALWAYS a but...it happened to be "URBAN hip-hop weekend" and if I need to explain to you what that means...well I can't, except to say, it brings the highest crime rates to Miami for that weekend. (according to the Miami Herald..regarding the previous year). Crazy. We just had to be careful and we were. The whole weekend went off without a hitch, so we were pretty blessed.

Matt and I traded out beloved Yukon for a Yaris...no comparison really, but much better on gas. The truck is now mine, and the yaris is Matt's but he doesn't believe me. :)

Moriah? Don't ask. She's 16, which = DRAMA. She is spending some time with her father this summer. I miss her a lot, and I cried hard when she left...but I will be OK! Because, NO DRAMA = BETTER SLEEP at night. She's on the road, truckin' with her Pa. hee. I think it will be a great experience for her, really and for him too. (sleep = ahhhh)

A big thank you to my MOM, Melissa and Barbara for making our Miami trip possible. I don't know what you were thinking when you agreed to do it, but thanks for watching the kids!

Let Him dwell within me, ALL of my days. He is my and the only source of real JOY! The world is a liar. Only YOU can decide who you want to be, your identity is either in the world or in Jesus. If it's in Jesus then you are perfect because He is perfect. He atoned for all of our real imperfections. If sin leads to death, why do we chase it? Why do we chase the grave instead of His grace? Me too, it's a daily surrender of my desire for the world. Daily, hourly, minutely. The pull is intense and the struggle is real. Literally. No matter what happens to me, you know your mother's heart chases after Jesus Christ Himself. It is not the path of least resistance. On the contrary. I live my life for Him and through Him because I have already experienced the contrary. It was a state of darkness and death. Absence of light and of love. Of course I want to spare you the suffering of that course but sometimes we must walk through that mire to appreciate Him as he washes it off of us s...
