What a beautiful time

Well,

I hope everyone had a very Merry Christmas! I know we did.

It's all done with and I can't believe how quickly it passed. I can't believe it is Thursday already. Where, oh where has the week gone?? I was totally blessed to see my family this holiday. Both brothers and parents came. One brother I had not been able to see in 2 years! So, it was awesome. I have been sick all week, so medicine head stunk. I felt like I was so disconnected with the congestion and yuckiness that I missed everything. I totally intended to video tape everything, but of course got too caught up in the moment and forgot.

Poor Madison has been a drooly, sicky, fussy mess for these last few days. She seems to feel so much better today and did sleep well last night, thankfully. Jayden has been playing her heart out with all her toys and just eating up the family fun. Beautiful.

I had forgotten how much I miss my family when they are gone, I feel so lucky everyone could make it. Thank you to them for making such and effort and traveling so far. I only wish I had a million more days to spend with everyone.

My poor Matt had to work everyday but Christmas. That totally stunk. I know he is just so tired, but keeps on going. Whataman! He has this weekend off, which is Madison's birthday and it will be so nice to spend some concentrated time with him. yay. The 26th was our anniversary, 2 wonderful years. Matt surprised me by coming home early and with lovely flowers and sweet card in hand. He doesn't miss a beat, I tell ya. In haste, I did not even get him a card. What a wife.

Happy birthday to Melissa tomorrow, Madison on the 31st and to my brother Eric on the 8th! I totally forgot to tell him when he was here. Darn it.

A HUGE thank you to all of our family who showered us and our children with gifts. Thank you!

Let Him dwell within me, ALL of my days. He is my and the only source of real JOY! The world is a liar. Only YOU can decide who you want to be, your identity is either in the world or in Jesus. If it's in Jesus then you are perfect because He is perfect. He atoned for all of our real imperfections. If sin leads to death, why do we chase it? Why do we chase the grave instead of His grace? Me too, it's a daily surrender of my desire for the world. Daily, hourly, minutely. The pull is intense and the struggle is real. Literally. No matter what happens to me, you know your mother's heart chases after Jesus Christ Himself. It is not the path of least resistance. On the contrary. I live my life for Him and through Him because I have already experienced the contrary. It was a state of darkness and death. Absence of light and of love. Of course I want to spare you the suffering of that course but sometimes we must walk through that mire to appreciate Him as he washes it off of us s...
