Who am I, that I should be able to to sit on my front porch in a rocking chair and feel the breeze against my skin and hear the rustling of the leaves. I hear the birds call to each other, a dove cooing in the distance. Who am I? I  have peace at home, a full stomach from dinner that I was able to make in my oven. Who am I? I have thriving kids and a thriving marriage. I have a church family that extends on and on. I have love and support on all sides. He has hemmed me in before and behind. Who am I? I am well aware that I am entitled to nothing. I have earned nothing. My father cares for me anyway. He loves me, anyway. I remember the "dump-people" in Tijuana Mexico. They were so grateful for a bottle of water and hotdogs wrapped in tortillas and ketchup. They have tent communities that people were born into. They will never know about the world that lay 5 miles outside of that community. They work tirelessly just to have the minimum requirements for survival. They don...
You know, when we married I never thought of what life would look like down the road in 5 years, 7, or 15. The seasons of marriage and Parenthood have been rough roads and smooth ones though, I can't really remember what that rough feels like anymore. In THIS season, I am thankful. I am present. I am here. For them, for all of them. I don't have much left to give some days except my catatonic presence, alas I'm still there. Today is a good day. It isn't for frivilous reasons though, not today. I am just basking in the presence of our Lord. He has smoothed all if the rough edges. He's gone before me. I am hemmed in from front to back. I just want to follow Jesus, wherever He takes me. I want my children to KNOW the hearts of their parents are poured out onto the feet of our Precious Jesus.

Madson 6th grade Bball

I always enjoy watching Madison play after she gets mad. She starts getting aggressive and plays even harder. Today was the day she scored a 3 pointer. At the end of the game the coach gave them freedom to foul. Madison bumped a gal sideways so hard she flew into the air and over the audience! Not really, but kind of. We were at the perf angle to see her do it and we really did see the girl fly, just not over the audience..it was awesome..one of our proud moments;)
